So since the past two weeks or so I have not gotten to share any of the many activities that I have experienced I am pumped so yeah here it goes....
First the road trip.
It was MLK weekend and what could be a more perfect way to spend it than an App State trip that was long overdue. So Ashton and I left ECU, late might I add, due to my unnecessary overpacking abilities and headed to NC State to pick up Sidney and Maggie then off to Boone we went.
looking a little rough but what can you expect from a four hour ride
That night we got ready and went to Makadoos, which is fantastic by the way. This is where I had an amazing chicken caesar salad and managed to knock over an entire pitcher of water all over the floor. It was another thing added to my long list of embarrassing moments, but nonetheless it was pretty funny. Later that night, we braved the snowy hills of App's apartment complexes and visited some of Katie's friends. This is where we met some really fun people and I got my phone locked up. Completely. Just an fyi, if you find a phone that has a password, DON'T try to get into it!
Saturday, since my phone was totally messed up I spent the majority of the day getting acquainted with the company of Verizon. Now if you have never spent some quality time with this company's employees either on the phone or in the store, you really must. We managed to get real close and almost developed long lasting relationships while they ran through troubleshooting at least 12 times, directed me back and forth between each other, and came to the conclusion that the problem was because of the g-mail account that I never used, didn't seem to be working. Well wouldn't you think that they could just reset my phone? Of course not. They couldn't do anything and they eventually had to send me another phone. So after that fantastic waste of 4 hours of my life Sidney, Katie, Emily, and I went back to the dorm, got ready, and went to Pizza Hut. This is where, the waiter, who looked about fifteen years old on a good day flirted real hard. After we left Pizza Hut we had a great rest of the night, catching up with old new friends and meeting other ones.
On Sunday morning we woke up and realize that guess what? My car was dead! Imagine that. So we had to walk to the awesome church service that had a pretty funny pastor. After church we walked around the stores on King Street where Sidney got a brand new App sweatshirt, Katie wanted to get dream catchers?, we took some candy from the Mass General Store, and bonded over $1 dollar, old school drinks. Aimlessly walking around with those two girls is one of my favorite activities of all time. Since there was a chance of snow, Sidney, Ashton, Maggie, and I decided that we could spend the night at home before going back to school. Crazy thing is Katie and Emily wanted to join so that meant six of us in my little sentra. yessss! So after getting all of our stuff together, thirty minutes of trying to jump off my car with 2 foot jumper cables, and a couple of nice fellas later we were finally on the road, back down the mountain.
Second, the trip to Hibachi Express.
So since "The Galley" and the dining hall food was getting extremely overrated and the intense cravings of Japanese food were impending, this little girl and I decided that we were going to go to Hibachi Express. To make a long story short, it was a-mazing!
Ashton's delicious food, my leftovers later in the week (:
my food...yumm!
After returning back to to our dorm, we had to start the activity that the orange side of out personalities had prevented us from starting on time...homework. To make this dreadful experience a little bit less terrible we decided to watch "My Strange Addictions" on TLC. For those of you who have not seen this show, the title explains itself but it features people that have unorthodox habits like eating couch cushions and wearing fur suits. Yeah, weird but nevertheless entertaining, and provided us with comic relief.

Third, Polar Bear Plunge.
"The Polar Bear Plunge, which started in 1997 as part of the Grand Opening celebration for Campus Recreation and Wellness, is an annual event during which students brave the frigid January weather to jump into the freezing water of the outdoor swimming pool at the rec center. The first year, 35 people participated.
This year marked the 15th year of the Polar Bear Plunge, and the number of participants has soared each year. A record-breaking 958 jumpers participated this year, according to associate director for Campus Recreation and Wellness, David Gaskins. This year’s turnout shattered last year’s record of 702."
Yeah, so guess what...Ashton and I went and met my friend Steven there, in hopes to get a Polar Bear Plunge shirt. Freezing, is an understatement and I'm pretty sure I hopped right out of the ice cold water (literally) in .2 seconds. We did get a shirt, but not the one we had hoped for. It was a 3XL ECU shirt I already had that I could 27.3 of me in. We didn't get there in time, probably because Ashton made us late but it was still fun.

Fourth, Chilis dinner.
So here at ECU they have built a new food place, "The Croatan"(terrible name I know) conveniently located closer to my dorm. SCORE! But it has a Chick-fil-a and can you believe it?! Yes, thats right a Chilis To-Go. So these lovely ladies and I took a trip to this awesome place and had some delicious food.
Fifth, the night of Paranormal Activity 2 and Taboo.
So since there was nothing better to do on a Saturday night, the roomie, Val, Cori, and I took a trip to Hendrix Theater where the movies are FREE. Yeah, thats right. We watched Paranormal Activity 2 and I was cracking up or sleeping the whole time. We came back to the dorm and played some Taboo. Greatest game ever. Room against room. Cori and Val against Ashton and Morgan. Final score 28-27. Them. We lost. Oh well. Hilarious.
