theres nothing like old traditions. those that you find comfort in knowing the familiar habit. well today i got to enjoy some of those...
the ararat parade something that some might find mediocre but for the past 18 years of my life i have either one, gathered candy from it. two, rode the four-wheeler in it. or three, watched and took pictures of it. my family and i usually sit at my aunt's house or the jones' house, depending on which side of the river its coming from. so this morning ashton and i woke up and drove to see this small-town affair at my aunts house. might i just say i quite enjoyed the simplicity of it all.
after the parade, things slowed down even more....ashton and i came back to my house to be worthless; watching nearly five hours of investigation discovery: i almost got away with it. attention: this is not an exaggeration. needless to say i now know what not to do if i am a fugitive on the run. i also blogged and looked at blogs. you guys have such interesting lives or you could be like me and have no life so thats why you have time to blog. either way.
being absolutely lethargically came to an end and the fam and i went to a cookout at the bullingtons. patrick, jennah, madison, and i had fun. julie wasn't there...which i was not happy about. but i learned some interesting facts: patrick hates beans and hotdogs. jennah eats beans and burnt hotdogs. julie walks around naked, thats why the curtains in the kitchen are so long, just in case. hehe. i love cookouts!
now it was the grand finale of the day...fireworks.
